These GCDB ASCII files can be downloaded and reformatted to be used with GIS applications. We also serve the data in GIS shapefiles.

 

GMM Files:

township.an - contains label points with coordinate locations which will attribute polygon topology in the output GCDB coverage.

township.add- contains information regarding special handling of certain coordinate geometry calculations

township.avl- contains a listing of all available control points for a given project, with associated geographic coordinates and error ellipses

township.avl- contains point ids, latitude and longitude values (decimal seconds), default elevation (in feet), and error in easting and northing (in feet)for all known, published, and digitized control stations in a given project.

township.con- contains point ids, latitude and longitude values (decimal seconds), default elevation (in feet), and error in easting and northing (in feet), and Datum for all control stations used in the adjustment of final coordinate values (derived from township.avl file).

township.cor- contains point ids, state plane coordinates, and error ellipses for all points in a given project

township.def- contains information related to meta data, which include; State Designator, Principal Meridian, Project Name, State Plane Zone, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone, Default Elevation, Linear Units, and Datum.

township.dxf - contains Autodesk compatible file that is used to export GCDB data into AutoCad and other graphic environments.

township.iid-contains point id strings that define each parcel within the project and other coding required to reestablish the attribution of a project once the project is readjusted.

township.int- contains listings of points id sets that identify intersection calculations for any intersection produced during auotmatic or manual subdivision.

township.irr- contains listings of point id sets that define irregular subdivision calculations for a given project.

township.lsa- contains listing of all points within a given project that were entered into the raw data file and were adjusted using a least squares analysis.

township.lx - contains point ids, latitude and longitude (decimal seconds), error in easting and northing (in feet) , default elevation (in feet), UTM coordinates, and connectivity codes for constructing a spatial representation of GCDB data set in output coverage.

township.lxn contains a listing of point id strings that reflect the connectivity of points within a given project.

township.meta- contains meta data synthesized from Data Conversion Software System

township.not - contains listing of lines (beginning point and ending point), or points, that will be removed from output GCDB coverage.

township.pgc- contains point ids, latitude and longitude (decimal seconds), error in easting and northing (in feet) , default elevation (in feet)of all points within a given project

township.raw - contains record bearings (in Degrees, Minutes, Seconds) and distances (in Chains) between adjacent Public Land Survey System (PLSS) corners, which were abstracted from survey plats or notes. File also contains source code for identifying source documents used in abstraction process.

township.sid - contains source code for source documents, comments which describe Year of Survey, Surveyor, Source Agency, and Error Estimates assigned to vintage of survey.

township.utm contains point ids, Universal Transverse Mercatur coordinates, error in easting and northing (in feet) , default elevation (in feet), for a given project.

PCCS Files:

cavltownship - contains point ids, latitude and longitude values (decimal seconds), default elevation (in feet), and error in easting and northing (in feet) for all known, published, and digitized control stations in township.

ctownship - contains point ids, latitude and longitude values (decimal seconds), default elevation (in feet), and error in easting and northing (in feet), and Datum for all control stations used in the adjustment of final coordinate values (derived from cavltownship file).

lxtownship - contains point ids, latitude and longitude (decimal seconds), error in easting and northing (in feet) , default elevation (in feet), UTM coordinates, and connectivity codes for constructing a spatial representation of GCDB data set in output coverage.
