Source data came from BLM Geographic Coordinate Data Base files, USFS Cartographic Feature Files, USFS Status Atlas hardcopy maps and/or supplemental plot maps. The tile of this coverage is one forest. This spatial data can be linked to Forest Service Land Ownership data to add extended attributes.
Purpose:
The purpose of this data is to provide display, identify, and analysis tools for determining land status information for Forest Service Lands Specialists, Management Planners, GIS Specialists, and others. The attribute values that describe these data are stored as spatial attributes and/or in ORACLE tables.
